Biography

Cyerra Pemberton is an emerging operatic soprano known for her vibrant stage presence and versatility. Pemberton is a graduate of Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. 

While attending Wright State, Pemberton performed several roles in mainstage productions, including Madame Herz (The Impresario), and Rosalinde (Die Fledermaus). She was also named a winner in the 2025 Concerto Aria Competition, where she performed "Glitter and be Gay" (Candide) alongside the Wright State Chamber Orchestra. Throughout her degree, Pemberton was recognized with several scholarships, including the ArtsGala Scholarship, the Sarah Tipps Scholarship for Music, and the David Lee Keener Memorial Scholarship.

This spring, Pemberton returned to her alma mater as Isabel in The Pirates of Penzance. Her most recent engagements include singing in the chorus in Dayton Opera's concert production of Porgy and Bess, and competing in the CS Music Competition in Boston, where she was named a semifinalist. She also sings regularly at the First Baptist Church of Dayton, and teaches private lessons in the Dayton area. 

Her current repertoire features a blend of works, including “The trees on the mountain” (Susannah), “Come scoglio” (Così fan tutte), and “Si. Mi chiamano Mimì” (La bohème). With a fierce passion for the stage, Pemberton is poised to make her mark as a dynamic and expressive young artist.
